Who is eligible to receive NDIS Support services ?
You need to be under 65 years when enrolling to NDIS to receive financial assistance. If you are over 65, you might be eligible for other aged care assistance and may need to be on My aged Care.
How severe must a person’s disability be to meet the NDIS eligibility criteria?
The illness or medical condition must result in considerable disability and permanent impairment (physical, intellectual, cognitive, neurological, visual, auditory, or psychosocial) to qualify for NDIS funding.
This means the NDIS will only accept an individual who can provide sufficient evidence, supported by objective and credible documentation, demonstrating that they have a permanent and significant disability.
